St. Baldrick´s

We are once again raising money to help the St. Baldrick´s Foundation conquer kid´s cancer. Last year was a big success with two Waukegan teams at different events raising $6,900 combined. This year we have an event that is being held in our city, and if we all join together on one team we could raise a lot more for a great organization. We have set up a team for March 21st, 2010 at Green Town Tavern. Last year we had 19 people from the fire department sign up, hopefully this year we can get more involved and beat our goal of $10,000.

MDA

In 2009, the firefighters of IAFF Local #473 raised over $35,000 for Muscular Dystrophy between our Annual MDA golf outing and our Pass The Boot drive. This year plans are already in the works to make it an even bigger year.
