Waukegan Firefighters agreed to stay on the job for free as a part
of a furlough plan to bail out the city´s financial crisis. For
each firefighter the shifts and hours worked will be the same,
four hours of that time each pay period will be unpaid. Essentially,
firefighters will provide professional fire service protection on a
voluntary basis during furlough time.
